TechMasters Zambia is proud to announce that we have been awarded a landmark tender to supply 5 megawatts (MW) of off-grid power to rural communities in Zambia. This milestone marks a significant step towards our mission of advancing sustainable energy solutions that empower people, businesses, and entire communities.
The project, initiated under the national rural electrification agenda, will focus on deploying solar-powered mini-grid systems and battery storage units in regions that have long faced energy shortages. By harnessing Zambia’s abundant sunlight, we aim to deliver clean, reliable, and affordable electricity to thousands of households, schools, health facilities, and small businesses.
Speaking about the achievement, Mr. Tembo, Director of TechMasters Zambia, said:
Access to electricity is a fundamental driver of economic and social development. This project is not just about power—it’s about opportunity, education, healthcare, and a better quality of life for rural communities.
Zacks Tembo
The 5MW off-grid system will be rolled out in phases over the next 18 months, with the first installations expected to go live by [December, 2025]. The initiative is projected to benefit over 20,000 residents, create local employment opportunities, and stimulate rural economic growth.

TechMasters Zambia’s technical team will work closely with local contractors, government agencies, and international renewable energy partners to ensure the project’s success. As part of our commitment to sustainability, the systems will be designed for low maintenance, scalability, and long-term energy resilience.
This award reinforces TechMasters Zambia’s position as a trusted partner in delivering innovative energy and technology solutions that make a real difference in people’s lives.
